Onward and upward...we've officially signed on with Where Are My Records out of Montreal. This label is nuts. Drop everything and grab Epic45's new record, or any of the Below The Sea catalogue. In fact, every band on there is very strong. We're amped as hell. All The Plans Resting will be released through WAMRec around November. We have a number of compilations, a soundtrack and even a music video in the works as well, so keep watching. Maybe a potential site redesign too I hear.

Iraq beat fuckin Australia, an honourable member of the coalition of the willing, in the soccer quarterfinals today. (sorry to the many good Australians, but your current bully government is sickening, and I'd like to see them talk shit without Uncle Sam backing them up) Comments from the Iraqi coach thanking America for the invasion? One person definitely not on Hamad's speed dial was President Bush, who has stirred some anger among the Iraqi coach and players for using Iraq's flag during a reference to the Olympics in a commercial for his re-election campaign...Hamad said: "Bush helps to destroy our country. After a year and a half, we have passed into a very bad situation. ... We'll never believe Bush can be with us."

The good news is the new album is scheduled for release in November on a dope label. The bad news is the label won't be Endearing Records. We're currently negotiating with a new label here in Canada. I can't really release any details yet, but let's just say we're REALLY excited about it. I'm sure most of you will recognize the name when you see it. We'll let you know as soon as we are able to officially announce it. It's unfortunate that we had to say goodbye to Endearing though... we've had a very good relationship with them over the years and have been extremely happy with all their support. They still remain very good friends. However, we've been sitting on this new Record for a number of months now and the priority for us is to get it out there quickly and widely. Stay tuned.

We recently did an interview for iconic independent magazine, The Big Takeover. (issue out now; #54) Lots of talk about inspiration and the new record, which of course isn't out yet. (Still hoping for Fall 04) We'll put up the text sometime in the future. Also, important and surprising consensus at the WTO this weekend on lifting agricultural export subsidies in rich nations. (which have been artficially depressing world prices) July Package Though there is a lot more work to do to hammer out the details of this deal, it's getting harder and harder for activists to blindly dismiss the WTO... makes for a confused left.
