We gave'r this weekend and got five new tracks recorded. Not fully mixed yet, but we got a lot done.
Like a crack addict, I went back to Lost in Translation again tonight. Swallowed my heart another three or four times then got to wander out into the night and rain. (was sunny and dry after my first screening) Hundreds of theatres around here, three million people, and dt (of readymade) was coincidentally sitting 5 seats down from me.

The movie Lost in Translation just kicked my ass yesterday...destroyed me. The middle of the night scene with MBV's Sometimes and the lights and bridges and cars and skyscrapers and hazy-eyed drunken smiles directed at someone else sleeping in the backseat who you've just fallen for in the last 2 hours...man. The ultimate human impulse: to find love in a single night before you ever get to know the other person.

4:54 AM, just got back from Seattle. Saw The Clientele. Best show I've ever seen. Just the three of them and the drum kit consisted only of a snare, kick and a few symbals. So nuanced and perfect. I've never heard a better voice in person...didn't play More Than Ever, but played all the other favs. I've never heard music that is so instantly escapist.
Show got cut short slightly apparantly because opening act Destroyer ran long, which is fairly annoying.

If Michael Moore can endorse Wesley Clarke, so can I. He's the best chance out there to get this world back in order...smart and doesn't pull any punches. It is in the interest of non-Americans to get behind this dude.

"Terminalave of Readymade is also beautiful, an apparently simple guitar song that by some additions of 'partijtjes' (?) subtlety changes in atmosphere. Perfect on the headphones..." (thanks to Seabhin)
