The World Summit on Sustainable Development gets underway in South Africa this week. But looking back over the 10 years since the last summit of this kind, in Rio, there is clear evidence of bad faith by the OECD, G8, 'West', 'North' or whatever you want to call us. Opening their markets, poor countries have slashed agricultural subsidies while Europe, the United States and Japan spend $300 billion annually on them -- roughly six times the amount they spend on foreign aid to poor nations." Really impressed seeing mum live tonight. Lots of subtle melodies seamlessly arranged into these sort of off-kilter rhythemed glitchy epics. Wide assortment of instruments and flawless singing.
