Vivre Le Quebec! Two new reviews. One from the Big Takeover in New York and one from emoRAGEi in Montreal. If anyone can read French, please fire us a proper translation of the latter. Ours is a little off I think.
Thanks to James Broscheid for sending us the Big Takeover review.
posted by Hilts: 1/19/2002 06:35:00 PM Potential Power of Celebrity Bono is undissable. Initially, I wasn't sure if this debt-relief project of his was the real deal, but he's really sticking with it. Take one billionaire (Gates) and one celebrity and look at the change that can be affected...now imagine if fucking idiots like Rupert Murdoch, Larry Ellison, Tom Cruise and Marilyn Manson all stepped up and did some good in the world too.
At this particular summit, Bono will be attending with Jeffrey Sachs, a Harvard economist who is very active in petitioning international bodies to fight global poverty. He's dope too.

Apparently this guy Robert is pretty serious about Ninjas. I gotta admit, after looking at his site i'm starting to think that Ninjas are totally sweet too! Make sure you check out the script for Ninja Babe.
posted by Arch: 1/10/2002 04:38:00 PM Dave i just heard that Dave Thomas died. I was worried that it was the Dave Thomas from SCTV. Turns out it was just that old dude from the Wendy's commercials. Phew!
posted by Arch: 1/08/2002 04:19:00 PM Frontin' First interview of the On Point and Red era here. Probably the most thoughtful (and perceptive) article/review ever written on Readymade.
posted by Hilts: 1/04/2002 04:41:00 PM Revs Added a Discorder review to the press section. More interviews and reviews will be making there way up here in next couple of weeks. If you're in Toronto, there's a really well written interview in Rosco magazine's Winter 2002 edition.
